This photograph emphasizes perfection of marching band styles. It shows how they keep the files, lines of the marchers, perfectly straight. The photographer in relation to this photo is below the marchers. He is a somewhat close distance to the students. The people are arranged in perfect files on the yard lines and four steps off the yard line. This effects the photo by emphasizing the straight files. The marchers look like they blend with the lines which creates a sharp clean line with no bumps in the form. What stands out the most is the clean cut uniforms and the pristine body posture. The focal point of the Ohio State Marching band is themselves. No one stands out in this band, they are a functioning machine they must be precise. The color, lighting, textures, patterns, shapes, and size do not seem important at all due to it being only a pictures showing off the marchers. Not one marcher has more light on him/her than another student manipulated by the photographer. Other parts that seemed truly important in this picture is the crowd focused in on them. This title does not just suggest, it is showing that this is the Ohio State Marching Band. There are no captions or words in the image to define anything else. The image creates a feeling of perfection. The photographer had the angle alignment perfectly on the files creating a sense of respect and strength. What I have explained before in the recent statements is that the photographer is conveying the ir respect they have for band by portraying a strong and powerful body posture. if you didn't enjoy what you do you look lazy and pathetic. Marching band must be a functioning machine. If one of the parts are missing the machine does not work. Every single member plays an important role in the group. Therefore this picture represents the perfection of marching band. The photographer conveys that the Ohio State Marching Band is a functioning machine.
